Pearl Buck Vocational Services

Pearl Buck Vocational Services provides work and vocational training to adults with developmental disabilities through subcontract work performed for businesses and organizations in Oregon and across the country.
Working individually and in teams, they perform:
- Bulk Mailing
- Assembly for a variety of mechanical and electronic products or even simple kits.
- Packaging for products requiring poly bag, box pack, shrink wrap, blister pack, heat seal or vacuum seal
- Manufacturing from products made from plastic, wood and all types of metal. We have a C.N.C.vertical machine with 4th axis machining ability.
- Order Fulfillment for direct marketing and e-commerce
This experience and training not only provides them with a sense of accomplishment, and enables them to become wage earners.

Community-Based Employment
Community-Based Employment matches adults who have disabilities with community-based jobs in the public and private sector. We provide ongoing job coaching, vocational training and job placement services at more than 70 local businesses. While interacting with co-workers on the job, Pearl Buck Center workers not only gain new skills, abilities and independence, they demonstrate the value of diversity.
